Ben Blanton has made his career as a news producer. He has a proven track record of improving the ratings of the stations he works with. He is also successful with growing brand identities for various television newscasts. Ben Blanton has been able to excel with morning, evening, and late-night producing experience, so his skill set is clearly pretty versatile.

In 2008, Ben Blanton was a college intern at WHNS-TV, which is a television station serving North and South Carolina, based out of Greenville, South Carolina. He is a graduate of the Institute on Political Journalism at Georgetown University. He earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in 2008 from Bob Jones University in Broadcast Journalism.

Blanton was first hired at FOX Carolina WHNS-TV as a part-time news writer. For roughly five months, he was responsible for writing clear and concise news scripts for local newscasts that were conversational in their tone. He was also charged with assisting the producers in selecting and tailoring the graphics, video elements, and sounds to achieve the desired impact. In December of 2008, Ben Blanton became an associate producer. For more than five months he was in charge of producing and writing local newscasts and cut-ins for WHNS-TV’s morning magazine show. He was made morning producer in May of 2009, producer of the 6:30pm newscast in January of 2011, and finally became producer of the 11pm newscast a year later.
